dessert supply

I had a good look at all the great contest entries, but I myself had a quite different image popping up pretty clearly inside my head. This one you see above. So I decided to go for the contest, too (nothing to lose, right?).
I wanted the cat, the fruit and the clock linked in a nice story. My link is the mouse.
The cat is not sure yet, if there is anybody home. The mouse is just about to enjoy its dessert (the strawberry) and doesn't know about the unwelcome visitor yet.

I used watercolours and pastel chalks (and a black pen).

(If one of these sentences doesn't really make sense it's either, because my english is crap or because I listened to Terry Pratchett audio-books while working on this painting with all sorts of people in it that don't make sense.)
